On Wednesday, March 30, New Balance hosted an event at MPE Penthouse in New York City for “the CUSTOM 574.” Celebrating the launch of its “the CUSTOM 574″ microsite, New Balance invited DJ Mars to provide music and even allowed guests to test out the new website feature before its official launch today. All sneakers customized and ordered through “the CUSTOM 574″ shop will be made in the United States.
Following the launch of New Balance’s Custom U574 initiative in New York, the brand further highlights the importance of its made in America customization process. New Balance’s Norridgewock, Maine factory handles roughly 25% of all New Balance “Made in the US” shoes as the customization process allows you several choices for design such as suedes, meshes, laces, logos and mid and outsoles. Head over to New Balance’s microsite to customize your pair of 574s.
